About Ahmad
A local, a driver, a photographer, and a guide — rolled into one genuine human being who loves these mountains.
I didn't choose the mountains.
They chose me.
My name is Ahmad Faraz. I grew up in the shadow of peaks that most people only see in photographs. For me, the roads to Shogran, Naran, and Babusar aren't tourist routes — they're home.
I started driving these roads when I was seventeen. Years of navigating switchbacks, seasonal floods, and snowfall at 13,000 feet gave me a knowledge of this terrain that no app or guidebook can replicate. I know which passes open in June and which ones wait until July. I know the family in Jalkhad that makes the best daal chawal. I know exactly where to pull over to catch the golden light on the Lulusar shoreline.
Photography came later — and it changed everything. I bought my first serious camera in 2018. Within a year, I was shooting professionally. Within two, clients were asking me to document their trips. I realised I could offer something genuinely unique: a guide who drives you there safely, shows you the places most tourists miss, and hands you back a cinematic record of the whole experience.
That's what Musafir by Ahmad is. Not a tour company. Not a photography studio. It's what happens when someone who loves these mountains deeply decides to share them — and capture them — for the people who trust him to guide the way.
“Ahmad didn't just drive us — he narrated every valley, every village, every peak. The photos he captured were stunning. It felt like travelling with a friend who happens to be a world-class photographer.”
What Ahmad Brings
Expert Driver
Years of driving the high mountain roads of Kaghan Valley, Babusar Top, and beyond. Ahmad knows every seasonal closure, every safe route, and every shortcut the maps don't show.
Professional Photographer
Ahmad shoots on professional mirrorless gear. Landscape photography is his art form — he reads light, waits for the golden hour, and frames Pakistan's north the way it deserves to be seen.
Content Creator
Every tour includes a cinematic travel reel. Ahmad edits in a dramatic, high-contrast style that has earned him a loyal following on Instagram (@ahmadpixxels). Your trip becomes a film.
Local Guide
Ahmad was born and raised in this region. He knows the best chai spots, the families who host travellers warmly, the unmarked viewpoints, and the cultural context that makes this place alive.
